Studio-Nap rooms for students - Gdansk University of Technology

- This is a project me and a colleague of mine did during our Erasmus in Gdansk.

- The goal was planning one or more studio and/or nap rooms for students, to give more places for the students to hang out in.

-The idea started with wanting to create multiple modular units that could be built both in and out of the university, thanks to their modularity and simple assembling.

- The exterior shell is 3D printed and all of the frame and the interior panels are modular, meaning that they are all the same and can be connected. The course did not require a high level of detail so I leave the rest to your immagination.

- Shapes and cuts in the exterior shell were obtained thanks to Grasshopper for Rhinoceros, creating a regular voronoi to cut wholes into the shell manually generated through NURBS in Rhinoceros.
