Project for a Library

-So. This is probably my favourite project so far.
I know the looks are not in the top 10 Millions of current days but hey, it was 2016 and I was still a student at his first approach with 3D software so I'd still call it a win.
This is my first serious approach with 3D modeling, I didn't know anything about texture mapping if not the automating cubic map button on rhinceros, good old days.
Yes the project may not look like something very easy to realize but as long as the 3D model was there the idea was there and it can serve as inspiration.

-Anyway
The project is about the requalification of an old abandoned building in Naples, Italy.
What is left now and what we warked on was just the four walls and we had to plan a library in it. We went all in, me and my friend Gerardo Basile (who doesn't have an artstation account sorry).
We were inspired by organic architectures and wanted to go freeform inside a building realized in the fascist days to sort of fight that Idea which is still hunting us today. Fight against the regime and show the freedom one can achieve inside of an apparently forcefully conformed shell.
We did not touch the external walls in order to let everyone remember what once was. Not to forget.

-The 3D model is entirely realized in Rhinoceros 5 (yes a long time ago), Vray 2 (also very old), Lumion (for the exterior renders) and some tweaking in photoshop, what came out of these programs is now definitely not up to industry standards but hey again! We were just two students who learned everything by themselves in just a few months so thumbs up!

-Many of the assets were just simple objects available for free on 3Dwarehouse, only the Island Tables and the modular bookshelves were specifically designed for the project.
